Member Posts: 12831 11/16/06 14:56:25 Forum Moderator	Tags : None Hi all They've set a date! May 13 and I'd love very much to send them something, to Jacob at the studio. I had some ideas that I want to run by you all, and please let me know your thoughts, and ideas. I'm thinking of sending a cake, to Jacob at the studio, and he can bring it home- wishing them congratulations and having a pic of them put on the cake. I thought of either a wedding album, with their names engraved, or an 8x10 silver frame also with their names engraved, or perhaps a set of wine glasses, yes, with their names engraved, lol. Not all of these of course, these are just ideas. let me know what you guys think. And please note, I'm not asking for anyone's money. I don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable- if you want to contribute that's great, but I can cover, if anyone isn't comfortable. I only wanted everyone to feel part of the thought process.

All the gift ideas sound really great, but my vote goes to the wine glasses w/ the engraved names...UNLESS we can somehow find out in the coming months where they are registered at (that might be a stretch-just a thought tho)... I LOVE the cake idea with their picture on it and it being sent to the studio as well (hmm...what flavor cake eh?)...

Donna- I'll do research again on bakeries, we'll see what I can come up with and how things look. It won't be like a cake they'd have at their wedding, I'm thinking a sheet cake. I adore that picture of them from the Emmy's, but there's so many lovely shots of them, and maybe I can find a place that does that. More than likely, a chocolate cake, lol, but we'll see.

It'll kinda be like a reminder of when they both made it "official"... But your right...there are so many great shot/poses of them, it'll really be hard to choose...

I'll work on the cake first, and find out if a photo can be added on. Not all bakeries do that, but many are catching on. We'll see how it goes...

I had the best of intentions, with the idea, but as Christen doesn't work at AMC, I'm advised this might not be the best idea. I have done lots of research on the glasses. There are some lovely choices, but interestingly, via ordering online anyway, the engraving isn't an option, so I'm going to call a few dept stores, which have chains in NY, and ask about that. I've checked Crate & Barrell, and I think Bloomies but I'll try for others. Can you believe it's not that far off already?

I know they have a Macy's Dept in New York on 34th Street and also a Web site------- Macys.com Its you choice or decision to check it out Macys if you want too. Also, I know alot of People register Gift of some kind of Event at Macys.

I did indeed check out Macy's- we have a Macy's here in Chicago now, so if need be, I can go in person, but I did check online. Lovely things. I have found, that there's a difference in glasses. I was looking for wine glasses, but I think what I'm looking for is actually called toasting glasses. they look a little bit more delicate. Very pretty.
