Adam has the cook make pancakes, the same as Dixie died from, I think, hoping to rid the spirits. He's talking to himself, nothing happens, so he sits down to read his paper, when JR walks in. Adam reminds him some business papers needed to be sent, and JR waves him off, because he's got it covered. JR asks, what's with the pancakes? Adam says oh, I wasn't hungry. JR says I'll take them away, then. Adam says no! Um, just leave them, I'm just not hungry right now. JR asks if he's ok. Adam says I'd be fine if my family would stop thinking I'm crazy. JR says we're worried about you. Did you ever consider, maybe just taking a break? Adam refutes and walks away.
Opal takes Richie to lunch at the Comeback. They're eating outside, and she makes small talk about the chicken and how it's her secret recipe. He's obnoxiuos as usual for a minute, then she reminds him of the tarrot card reading. She reminds him of what the cards said, and how he's going to need to change or he'll face the consequences. He smiles and asks, does this face look evil? She says no, that's the problem. They never look evil, but they turn out to be real bastards. She says I'm just warning you. You have to take stock and change. He says advise taken. He says you know, I wanted to ask you about something, from the last reading. You didn't really go into it.
