The storyline stuff in both mags is that Parker is arrested for killing Sam. Sam apparently was trying to rape Carly, and seeing his mother in trouble, Parker
got hold of a rifle from the farm, and shot Sam. Carly and Parker run to Luther's Corners, and call Jack in a panic. Jack goes to them, Parker explains,
and Carly says we left him, maybe he's not dead, maybe we don't have to go to the station. So Jack goes back to the Metro where Sam is dead. So Jack
takes them to the station, where Parker tells Margo what happened. It's very scary for him, and Margo wants to arrest Parker as an adult, rather than a
juvenile. Due to the hour, Parker has to spend the night in jail. Then Margo informs Jack that Sam was shot twice. Parker is so traumatized by what's
happening, he's in shock, that he can't remember if he fired twice....or if someone else was there who also shot Sam. Carly and Jack though, come
together to be with their son.
In the hottest plots, the show has plans for another special show on Valentine's Day, and the theme is what if? As in what if things had happened differently? Jack and Carly will be featured, in their version of the Philadelphia story, where MW plays Kate Hepburns socialite role, and about to marry a man she likes, and has all fine qualities, including wealth, but someone she doesn't love..because she really loves someone else..Jack's character...Tom and Margo will be featured, as Margo wonders what it would have been like if she chose to be a lawyer and Tom and Margo go head to head, similar to the old Spencer Tracy/Kate Hepburn movies. Will and Gwen, as Will dreams he got together with Gwen before she met Casey. Noah wonders what life would have been like if he had joined the army and never met Luke, Lily and Holden wonder if the stand off situation had ended differently. Michael Park is the only one quoted and says it was great..and great breaking away from the normal show for a few minutes.
Also in SOD, Dusty's death received the editor's choice, not for the decision to kill Dusty, which to them was unneeded and a dumb move, but how the other characters responded in their grief.
Dusty's death received the Thumbs Down in the Thumbs Up/down section
There's a joint interview with TC and AP, which I don't plan on reading
In SOW, other than the Parker and the who killed Sam, Dusty's death received the Miss in the Hit or Miss section
Sneak Peeks for week of 2/11: Sofie takes Will and Gwen to court, Henry's poker buddy develops an interest in vienna, Paul has shocking news for Meg, Casey's prison past makes it's presence known,
the next week of 2/18: Lucinda and Paul feel Craig is out for blood, Lily and Holden kiss, Aaron holds the key to Gwen and Will's happiness
Trent Dawson signed another contract so he's not leaving.
Scott Bryce's last airdate is 2/21.
