Ellyn, ITA! It makes me feel better to knowing that it was her decision to leave! I'm sure her "brother", & "dad" will be sad to see her leave. but will welcome their new sister/daughter to the family.

ok. well, she wasn't let go then, it was her choice. I feel better about that, but it still won't be the same. at least for a while.

The recast looks like Ambyr. I am sorry to see her go. She was doing a good job. Seems so out of the blue. Maybe she asked to be released or something

they don't have much choice- with all the talk of college, it is what it is. Or, maybe college is out, and she'll work at the hospital. All of this for an unproven pairing, it's a shame.

With Colby being recasted, the question is: will Colby stay 17? I wonder if they decided to "age" Colby a couple more yrs., in order to make her & Frankie more "believable" as couple.

I'm really quite bothered by it. My favorite scene in forever, was in the hospital with Adam/JR/Colby. If the new actress appears early May, that means Ambry's been gone a while, and this new actress has been taping. I agree with JesseNAngie- the character's age won't change- so why do this, plus- I think she had better romantic chemistry with Dre. I love a romance, of course, but I also don't understand why there can't be friendships- meaning Colby and Frankie...

This recast both disapppoints and disgusts me. I'm disappointed because I loved AC's Colbybecause she fit perfectly with Adam and JR. I'm disgusted because this is now the most extreme soras I've ever seen on a soap. Colby is 8. It was hard enough swallowing the first soras that made her twice her age. I mean, what? Is Colby older than JR now? What are they doing. This is so stupid. So what if the new actress is 25. The CHARACTER is still 17 and still too young for Frankie!

That's too bad. I thought Ambyr had great chemistry with Jacob and David Canary. Maybe this new girl will be good.

it won't be the same. wow. Well, she's a few years younger than Jacob, so age wise, it'll still go with character. I mean, sheesh, I'm glad she won't turn into JR's older sister at this rate. But it's a shame because Ambry is really the perfect age- Colby is going to college and it just fits. I guess we'll see what happens, and hopefully, she'll have the same sibling connection with Jacob.

I'm very Sad to learn that Ambyr Childers has been let go in the role of Colby, & 25 yr. old newcomer Brianne Moncrief will take over the role on May 7th! I guess they decided to age Colby in order to make the romance with Frankie more believable. I do agree that Ambyr's Colby looks a little too young to be in a romance with Frankie but wish Ambyr was able to stay & just pair her up Dre. I will definitely MISS Ambyr because she had such a sweet brother/sister relationship with...
